For N3 we would pick one grammar book (Shin Kanzen Master N3 Grammar, Try! N3 or So-matome N3) and the official workbook for one real timed test. The three grammar books overlap a lot, so choose the one whose style fits you rather than buying all three.

Shin Kanzen Master, Try! or So-matome for N3 grammar?
Shin Kanzen Master is the most thorough and drills the exam's own formats, with explanations mostly in Japanese. Try! N3 teaches each pattern in a short scene with English explanations, which suits learners coming from Genki. So-matome breaks the grammar into short daily units on a weekly plan, which suits learners with little time. Pick one.
